FIX: Error Message Occurs When You Open a DTS Package Saved with Characters that do not Exist in SQL Server Code Page

SYMPTOMS

If you open a Data Transformation Services (DTS) package that is saved with a Unicode name, the following error message may occur:
Error Source: SQL Server Microsoft OLE DB Provider.
Error Description: The specified DTS package ('Name = '??'-,ID.VersionID= { 597AB42F-4A1B-AD68-71A21E883AD5}.{21157776-B13D-4A88-92D1-B9270E5E92FE}') does not exist.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 3 for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
