Background Colors or Images Are Not Visible on Web Pages in Internet Explorer

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to view a Web page that has a background color or background image, the background is not displayed and a white background is displayed instead.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you click to select the Ignore colors specified on Web pages check box.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, click to clear the Ignore colors specified on Web pages check box:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Internet Options.
  3. On the General tab, click Accessibility.
  4. Click to clear the Ignore colors specified on Web pages check box.
  5. Click OK, and then OK.
