SYMPTOMS

Updated versions of Internet Explorer are not listed in the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel after you install a Microsoft Windows 2000 service pack.

WORKAROUND

If you need to uninstall Internet Explorer, uninstall the Windows 2000 service pack, uninstall Internet Explorer by using the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel, and then reapply the Windows 2000 service pack.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
