MORE INFORMATION
The Calendar Connector that is included in Exchange 2000 SP1 enables free and busy lookups between Exchange 2000 and computers that are running Lotus Notes and Novell GroupWise. If you have not installed the Calendar Connector, Exchange 2000 users can send meeting requests, but they cannot see free and busy information for these users. The Calendar Connector is included with Exchange 2000 SP1 because many customers have Exchange 2000 mail systems that coexist with GroupWise or Notes. Exchange 2000 users may need to schedule a meeting request with users on these partner computers. The Calendar Connector depends on successful folder synchronization with the partner computer. GroupWise and Notes users must be represented in Active Directory as Contacts. Although the Calendar Connector is included with Exchange Server SP1, it is not installed automatically with the service pack. The Calendar Connector Setup program is located in the Calcon\I386 folder on the Exchange 2000 SP1 CD-ROM. After installation, the Calendar Connector executable file (Calcon.exe) is located in the Program Files\Exchsrvr\Bin folder on the Exchange 2000 server. How to Store Free and Busy InformationThe Calendar Connector always stores free and busy information in its administrative group's public folder, specifically the Schedule+ Free Busy public folder. If there are multiple administrative groups on an Exchange 2000 server, each administrative group has its own public folder. In this case, free and busy information for Exchange 2000 users may be stored in a different public folder than the free and busy information for users on partner computers. The Calendar Connector does not support the following procedures:
