SYMPTOMS

When you publish a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation as a Web page, and then view the slide show in your browser, your animations may not play as expected. This behavior also occurs when you view your presentation by using the Web Page Preview command on the File menu.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the Show slide animation while browsing check box in the Web Options dialog box is not selected.

By default, the Show slide animation while browsing check box is not selected, so that when you view the slide show in your browser, all of the objects in the slide will appear. Otherwise, when you view the slide in your browser, some of the objects may not appear until you click the slide to activate the slide show.

WORKAROUND

To activate animations when you view your presentation as a Web page, follow these steps:
  1. Open your presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  2. On Tools menu, click Options, and then click the General tab.
  3. Click Web Options, click the General tab, and then click to select the Show slide animation while browsing check box.
