Slide presentations that are created in Microsoft PowerPoint 2001 for Macintosh and that contain objects that have exit animations assigned to them can be played in any version of Microsoft PowerPoint for Microsoft Windows. However, the exit animations do not work.
When you edit the objects, they do not appear to have exit animations assigned to them.
However, when you view the presentation again with PowerPoint 2001, the exit animations now function as they should.

This problem occurs because
PowerPoint 2001 saves its exit animations in a special format that is ignored by PowerPoint for Windows. This format ensures that the animations are still present after the presentation is viewed or is modified by the Windows version of the application.

To work around this problem, re-assign the exit animations in PowerPoint. To do this, follow these steps, as appropriate for the version of PowerPoint that you are running.
