Summary

An update that includes the 2013 daylight saving time (DST) changes for Israel is available for Windows Embedded Compact 7. This update changes the time zone data to accommodate the DST changes in Israel.

The government of Israel announced changes to the DST calendar that will take effect in 2013. When these changes take effect the new calendar will include 193 days of DST. The new DST definition is as follows:

  • DST will begin on the Friday before the last Sunday in March.

  • DST will end on the first Sunday after October 1.

Note DST will end on the first Monday after October 1 if the end of DST falls on Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
