OpenGL Does Not Redraw a Window Correctly

SYMPTOMS

After a part of a window that is painted by OpenGL is hidden by the window of another process and then the OpenGL window is selected again, the OpenGL window may not be redrawn correctly. This problem occurs when the following conditions exist:
  • A window is painted by OpenGL.
  • The window is an MDI window.
  • The hardware accelerator setting is higher than when using DirectDraw.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
