Generic programs are not viewable from a Terminal Server client on a clustered server

You create a generic application resource type in a group, and you select the Allow application to interact with the desktop option. This option lets the program run as a viewable foreground program. However, the program may not be viewable if you use a Windows Terminal Server-based client to remotely connect to the cluster node.

This problem may occur because generic programs and generic services on a clustered server are set to run in session 0 (the console session). Although the Allow application to interact with the desktop option makes the program or service viewable from session 0, the program or service is not viewable during additional sessions.

To resolve this problem, use the /console switch to connect to session 0. This method displays the generic programs.
