This compatibility update is available to make sure that Windows Updates install updates successfully on computers that have the Nalpeiron Licensing Service installed.

Certain versions of the Nalpeiron Licensing Service and its variants prevent certain updates from being installed through Windows Update. Affected updates include update 2770917 and update 2779768.
