SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade to Publisher 2002, you may notice that personal information, which is used in several Publisher 2000 wizards, is missing. This information includes names, addresses, color schemes, and logos that were added to the Personal Information dialog box in Publisher 2000.

CAUSE

The document format for the personal information files changed in Publisher 2002, and Publisher 2002 cannot update the new format from the format of the earlier version of Publisher.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, you must retype the personal information, logos, and any other information that you stored in the earlier version of Publisher.
  1. On the Edit menu, click Personal Information.
  2. Type the information that you want to be displayed, such as Name, Address, Color schemes, and Logo.
  3. Click Update.
Your personal information is now available for all wizards and templates.
