Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry
SYMPTOMS
When you click a button on the Office 2000 Shortcut Bar (OSB), you receive the Open With dialog box, which asks you which program to use to open the file.
CAUSE
This behavior may be caused by one or more Windows registry entries similar to the following:
RESOLUTIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk. To correct the problem, export the registry key (so that it can be added back easily if needed), and then delete it. To do this, follow these steps:
