Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11 is missing from the Linux OS list in System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager

Symptoms

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 is not listed in the Linux operating system list when creating a VM in System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager Service Pack 1.

Cause

This is a known issue.

Resolution

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 is a supported operating system so when adding a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 VM simply select "Other Linux" in the drop-down menu. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 will be added to the list in a future update.
