Application evaluation fails in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager running on Windows XP

Symptoms

An evaluation of a System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Application Model deployment fails if multiple users are logged in to a 64-bit version of Windows XP or Windows Server 2003. When this problem occurs, the following error message is written to the CIDownloader.log:
CDownloadPayloadInfo::AddDependantCI - VersionInfo not available for ModelName Windows/All_x64_Windows_XP_Professional User [SID]

Cause

This problem occurs because the ISensLogon2 interface that is used by the System Center Configuration Manager client returns incorrect information if the program is running on the 64-bit versions of Windows XP or Windows Server 2003.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, apply the following hotfix package to the affected Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 system:
967587 The methods in the ISensLogon2 interface returns incorrect session IDs for sessions when an application uses this interface to handle logon events
Note You have to close the Configuration Manager administration console before you apply this hotfix package.
