SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 or Microsoft Outlook 2002 to work offline with Offline Folder Storage (OST) enabled, folder synchronization may seem to be incomplete.

If you send an e-mail message to yourself while you are working offline and then perform synchronization, the message appears both in the Inbox and in the Sent Items folder. However, if you close and then restart Outlook to work online, the message is present in the Inbox but not in the Sent Items folder.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, perform a second synchronization of your Offline Folder Store to your Exchange mailbox.
