The Task Scheduler tool notifies you of a missed task every time you start your computer until that scheduled task is completed correctly (as scheduled).
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, use any of the following methods:
Method 1Change the schedule for the missed task to run in two minutes from the current time. Allow it to complete normally. Change the task back to its original schedule. To do so, follow these steps:
Method 2Delete the task that is being missed if that is an option. To do so, follow these steps:

This behavior is by design.

This is different from Windows 98, and Windows 98 Second Edition. In Windows 98, Task Scheduler notifies you once, and then not again until something else is missed. Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows 98 Second Edition users will also experience this issue if they upgrade to Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5, which uses the same version of Task Manager as Windows Millennium Edition (Me).
