This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP-3). MORE INFORMATION The problem is with the Entry ID for the e-mail address.
When the e-mail address is ambiguous and then resolved, it returns a short term
Entry ID only known to the users of that server. When there are multiple
servers in the site and users from a different server (not the server where the
contact was created) try to view the properties of the e-mail address, they
receive the error message that is described in the "Symptoms" section of this
article.
