Introduction
This article describes a General Distribution Release (GDR) update for the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1) that fixes several coded UI tests issues.

Issues that this update resolves
Issue 1
You experience the following symptoms when you run a coded UI test if hotfix 2736182 is installed on the computer:

When you play back tests on Windows Internet Explorer 7, a FailedToPerformActionOnHiddenControlException exception occurs. This occurs because controls are recognized incorrectly as hidden controls.

When you view the properties of UI controls by dragging the cross-hair tool onto a control or by using the Win+I keyboard shortcut, the coded UI test builder cannot recognize the control.
Issue 2
Coded UI tests on Internet Explorer 10 may playback incorrectly on Combo Box and List Box controls. Therefore, the UI controls unexpectedly select incorrect values.

Prerequisites
To apply this update, you must have Visual Studio 2010 SP1 installed.
Restart requirement
You do not have to restart the computer after you install the update if the affected files are not being used. We recommend that you exit all Visual Studio 2010-related components before you install the update.
The global version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
