Summary

This article describes the Microsoft Excel 2010 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated June 11, 2013.


INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you try to open an .xls file from an encrypted folder (for which the "encrypt contents to secure data" property is set) or email message, you receive the following error message:

    The file is corrupt and cannot be opened.

  • When you copy or paste rows by using a Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) script in Excel 2010, the heights of the rows are changed unexpectedly.

  • When you specify a range that contains empty cells in a function (such as the SUMIF or AVERAGEIF function) in Excel 2010, the function may not return the correct results.

The English version of this hotfix package uses a Microsoft Windows Installer package to install the hotfix package. The dates and the times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) in the following table. When you view the file information, the date is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
