Assume that you open a Word 2007 or Word 2003 document that contains a chart in Word 2010. When you convert the document to the Word 2010 file format, the chart becomes corrupted. For example, the chart changes shape, or the axis information is not displayed on the chart.

Assume that a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation contains an area chart that has many data points. When you try to save the presentation as an .xps or .pdf file, you receive the following error message:
An error occurred while PowerPoint was saving the file.
Or, assume that a Microsoft Excel workbook contains an area chart that has many data points. When you save the workbook as an .xps or .pdf file, the chart becomes corrupted.
