You can use the Migration Wizard included in this version of Windows to migrate settings, folders, and files from an old computer to a new computer running the same version of Windows. To start the Migration Wizard, is located under click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools and click Migration Wizard. The following is a list of the settings, folders, and files migrated by default: SettingsDefault Desktop IconsDial-Up Networking Configuration Display Settings Folder Sharing Configuration Internet Connection Settings Keyboard Settings Mouse Settings Network Drive Mappings Network Printer Connections Screen Saver Settings Taskbar Settings Telephony Settings FoldersCookiesDesktop Favorites My Documents My Pictures Files*.ch3*.csv *.dif *.doc *.dot *.dqy *.iqy *.mcw *.oqy *.pot *.ppa *.pps *.ppt *.pre *.rqy *.rtf *.scd *.sh3 *.slk *.txt *.wk? *.wpd *.wps *.wq1 *.wri *.xl? NOTE: It is possible to add additional settings, folders, and files during the migration process. The Migration Wizard does not migrate passwords. Passwords for Dial-Up Networking connections, Microsoft Outlook Express accounts, Microsoft Internet Explorer saved passwords, mapped drives, and so on will need to be reconfigured once the migration is complete.
