SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Windows XP Terminal Services, when you shadow another session, you receive no warning if the original session ends regardless of the reason. When this behavior occurs, you automatically return back to the first session that you established before you initiated the shadow session.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs so that the control returns to another session rather than to the desktop of the computer.
