WD2000: Mirror Margins Are Not Printed in Sections of Document Formatted as Landscape

SYMPTOMS

If you print a Microsoft Word document in which the Mirror margins check box is selected, those sections of the document that are formatted to print in landscape mode may not be printed with the mirror margins as expected.

NOTE: This behavior is apparent when you view the document in Print Preview.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if all of the following conditions are true:
  • Your document contains two or more "Next page" section breaks. (On the Insert menu, click Break, click Next page, and then click OK.)

    -and-
  • One of the sections in your document is formatted to print in landscape mode.

    -and-
  • The Mirror margins check box is selected.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
