When you have certain Windows 8 or Windows RT-based devices, there are inconsistent options in the Power Options settings.
Scenario 1Assume that you are running a Windows 8 tablet that has an Intel Atom processor, and you want choose what the power button does. However, the provided options in Advanced settings are different from the options in System Settings.
Note There are two locations in Power Options where you can change settings related to the power button. To view these options, follow these steps:
Scenario 2Assume that you have a Windows RT-based device, and you want choose what the power button does. In this situation, the Sleep option is missing under provided options in Advanced settings.
