SYMPTOMS

When you view the properties of a user account, the User must change password at next logon option may not be available.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the Password never expires option has been enabled on the user account. You cannot enable both the Password never expires option and the User must change password at next logon option. If you use the simplified User Accounts tool in Control Panel to create user accounts, the Password never expires option is enabled by default.
