Symptoms
Assume that you have a computer that is running Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012. You try to perform a certain activity that involves passing XML data as a job or passing XML data in a remote command invocation. When Windows PowerShell 3.0 receives the XML data, the operation fails.
Cause
This issue occurs because the XmlElement object in the XML data is not deserialized correctly in Windows PowerShell 3.0.
Resolution
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
