XL2000: Cannot Expand PivotTable If Data Is Not Saved with Table

You can only expand a PivotTable when the Save data with table layout check box is selected.


To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later:
   Date         Time    Version    Size        File name      
   22-Jan-2001  17:26   n/a        1,715,960   Excel.msp       
   22-Jan-2001  17:50   n/a        4,331,600   Excel_admin.msp
After the hotfix is installed, the following files will have the listed attributes or later:
   Date         Time    Version     Size       File name
   17-Jan-2001  22:31  7,159,853  Excel.exe


Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP-3).
