Article ID: 285580 - Last Review: January 29, 2007 - Revision: 1.3 PPT2002: Vertical Highlight Effect Is Not Displayed Correctly in Web Page PreviewThis article was previously published under Q285580 SYMPTOMS
When you apply the Vertical Highlight effect to a slide, and then view that slide in Web Page Preview, the text in the slide is not stretched as you expect. Instead, the text moves upward.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because Microsoft Internet Explorer is unable to accurately display the Vertical Highlight effect.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, view the slide show animation in Microsoft PowerPoint 2002. To do this, click Slide Show on the View menu.
If you are going to save the presentation as a Web page, you need to choose an animation other than the Vertical Highlight effect. MORE INFORMATION
In Microsoft PowerPoint, when you preview a slide to which the Vertical Highlight effect has been applied, the highlighted text stretches vertically. When you preview the same slide in Internet Explorer, the highlighted text does not stretch, but moves vertically.
