SYMPTOMS

You create a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation that uses the Light Speed exit effect from the Custom Animation task pane, and then you view the presentation in Microsoft Internet Explorer. When you do this, the text or object appears to exit the slide differently than it does when viewed in PowerPoint.

Note When you view the slide in Internet Explorer, the Light Speed exit effect appears similar to the Fly Out exit effect.

CAUSE

This problem can occur because Internet Explorer is unable to accurately re-create the PowerPoint Light Speed exit animation.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, make sure that you use Web Page Previewto view the presentation in Internet Explorer. If the appearance of the animation in Internet Explorer does not satisfy your needs, select an alternative effect.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
