You cannot view a PowerPoint slide that contains the bulleted text with Wipe animation in a Web browser

SYMPTOMS

When you view a Microsoft PowerPoint slide that contains bulleted text together with the Wipe animation in a Web browser, you may experience the following symptoms:
  • Text is not on the same line as the bullet.
  • Text from one line overlaps another line.
  • The line of text after a bullet is missing.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the bulleted text uses the Wipe animation.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use a different custom animation for the text, such as Boomerang, Spiral In, or Fly In.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
