When you print or preview a crosstab task or resource report, such as the Task Usage Report or the Resource Usage Report, the following symptoms may occur, depending on your computer's operating system.
Microsoft Windows 2000:Microsoft Project quits unexpectedly.Microsoft Windows NT 4.0:You receive the following error message:
An application error has occurred and an application error log is being generated. WINPROJ.exe Exception: access violation (0x0000005), Address: address Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition:You receive either or both of the following error messages:Message 1
Winproj has caused an error in WINPROJ.EXE. Winproj will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.
Winproj has caused an error in MPR.DLL. Winproj will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer. Microsoft Windows 98:You receive one of the following error messages:Message 1
The instruction at "Ox301c9416" referenced memory at "0x3012f11002." The memory could not be "read."
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
WINPROJ caused an invalid page fault in module WINPROJ.EXE at address.
CAUSE
This problem can occur when you attempt to print a crosstab report that has more than approximately 4,094 rows (where a "row" can consist of either a task, a resource, or an assignment).
RESOLUTION

To temporarily work around this problem, simplify the report to reduce the number of rows that are to be printed. Suggested ways to simplify the report are described in Example 1 and Example 2.
Example 1: Remove Assignment Rows from the ReportFor example, when you print the Resource Usage crosstab report, do not include task assignments in the report. To exclude task assignments from the Resource Usage report, follow these steps:
Example 2: Filter the Report to Print a Smaller Range of Tasks or ResourcesFor example, when you print the Task Usage crosstab report, use the Task Range filter to print a range of task numbers. To do this, follow these steps:
