Symptoms

You use the JavaScript console, the Document Object Model (DOM) Explorer, or the JavaScript Memory Analyzer in Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Preview. When you input East Asian characters, the candidates list in the Input Method Editor (IME) does not function.

Workaround

To work around this problem, use a different Text Editor such as Notepad to create the text with the IME candidate help. Then, paste the text into the JavaScript console, the Document Object Model (DOM) Explorer, or the JavaScript Memory Analyzer.

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
