When you click Download Address Book on the Synchronization menu in Microsoft Outlook, no address books are listed. Additionally, when you start the Exchange System Manager, the offline Address Book is not generated. The following message is reported in the Windows NT Event Viewer application log:
Event ID: 9127 Event Type: Error Event Source: MSExchangeSA Event Category: OAL Generator Description: OALGen encountered error [0x80004005] while calculating the OALs. CAUSE
This issue can occur if you did not enter a public folder store for the offline Address Book that it can replicate its contents to. By default, the offline Address Book replicates its contents to the public folder store of the server on which it is installed. If the public folder store is removed from the offline Address Book's replication configuration, then the symptoms that are described in the preceding section occur.
