MORE INFORMATION Setup.exe checks for required system files. If one or more
of the required system files needs to be updated, the system files update
automatically starts. The installation of the Office program files cannot occur
until the system files are updated. If you bypass Setup.exe by double-clicking
the .msi file for Office, the system files are not updated. NOTE: The installation of the System Files Update may be required for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 98. If you are upgrading to Office XP from Office 2000 SR-1 on Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 98 the system files may not have to be updated. The following Windows systems may not require an upgrade of the system files.
