Symptoms

You may encounter the following issues after you install the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 or the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2.

Issue 1

When you open or create a JavaScript file by using Microsoft Visual Studio 2012, Visual Studio may crash.

Issue 2

You may be unable to create a C++ project in Visual Studio 2012. Additionally, when you open C++ projects by using Visual Studio 2012, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:

"No exports were found that match the constraint: ContractName"

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the Visual Studio 2012 update.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
