XCON: MTA System Monitor Counters Do Not Work When You Connect Using Terminal Services

SYMPTOMS

Message transfer agent (MTA) instances may not be displayed in System Monitor on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer that is a Terminal Services client.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the System Monitor counter for the Exchange 2000 MTA is not shared with Terminal Services.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 1.
