SYMPTOMS

ViaVoice 8.0 does not work correctly after you upgrade to Microsoft Word 2002, to Microsoft Office Word 2003, or to Microsoft Office Word 2007. After you upgrade, you may experience the following behavior:

Word is no longer listed on the ViaVoice Dictate To menu.
The ViaVoice Dictation toolbar is no longer present.
When you open the Templates and Add-ins dialog box, you find that the ViaVoice add-ins (Dictation.dot and NavNC.dot) are not loaded.
When you try to dictate in Word 2002, in Word 2003, or in Word 2007, dictation works only sometimes. At other times, nothing happens.
While you dictate, sometimes an "x" appears in the document, or the Office Clipboard appears in the task pane.

CAUSE

ViaVoice 8.0 is not designed for use with Word 2002, with Word 2003, or with Word 2007.
