Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a computer that has Microsoft SQL Server 2012 PowerPivot for Microsoft SharePoint 2013 installed.

  • You upload a PowerPivot workbook to a PowerPivot gallery.

  • You schedule data refresh for the PowerPivot workbook.

  • You make some modifications to the PowerPivot workbook, and then you save the changes.

In this scenario, the scheduled data refresh is disabled unexpectedly.

Each new cumulative update for SQL Server contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous cumulative update. Check out the latest cumulative updates for SQL Server:
