"[Fatal] Failed to Get System Information" Error Message Occurs When You Run Netdiag

When you run the Netdiag tool, you receive the following error message:

This issue occurs because Netdiag depends on the Remote Registry service to function properly. If the Remote Registry Service is stopped, Netdiag cannot run.

To resolve this issue, start the Computer Management console, click Services, and then start the Remote Registry service.

This behavior is by design.
