This article applies only to a Microsoft Access database (.mdb). SYMPTOMS
After you install the Access 2000 and SQL Server 2000 Readiness Update and try to run the Upsizing Wizard, the Linked Table Manager, or the Add-in Manager, you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Access can't find the wizard, or there is a syntax error in the Declarations section of a Visual Basic module.
CAUSE
You may experience this problem if you run the Upsizing Wizard to Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 before you install the Access 2000 and SQL Server 2000 Readiness Update.
RESOLUTION
To correct this problem, remove the Acwztool.mde file, and then run Repair. This not only replaces the file, but also replaces it with the updated version of the wizard. At this point, the wizard runs and can upsize to Microsoft SQL Server 2000. To run Repair, follow these steps:
