FIX: Error message when you select a report on the RSItemPicker.aspx page after you apply update 2791086 on a computer that is running SSRS

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You apply update 2791086 on a computer that is running Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services (SSRS 2008 R2), SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services (SSRS 2012), or SQL Server 2014 Reporting Services (SSRS 2014) in SharePoint integrated mode.
  • You open the RSItemPicker.aspx page. For example, you select a report in the Report Viewer web part, or you select a shared data source on the Manage Data Sources page of a report.
  • You try to select a report or data source.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message:

Cause

This issue occurs because update 2791086 contains a regression.

Resolution

The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server.

Cumulative Update 1 for SQL Server 2014

Cumulative Update 11 for SQL Server 2012

Cumulative Update 7 for SQL Server 2012 SP1

Cumulative update 9 for SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2
