Consider the following scenario:
  • You create a Microsoft SharePoint Online list that contains a column that uses the Single line of text configuration option. We'll call this List A.
  • You create a SharePoint Online list by using the Custom list template, and you create a column type that uses the Multiple lines of text option and the Enhanced rich text option. We'll call this List B.
  • You create a new item in List B, select the Enhanced rich text option, and then upload a file by using the Upload File button on the ribbon. When you upload the file, you select List A as the Destination Library.
However, when you view the new item in List B, there's no hyperlink for the file that you uploaded as part of the list item.

To work around this issue, browse to the Destination Library that contains the list item exists to view the item there.

This is a known issue. Microsoft is working to resolve this issue.
