Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • In Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Service Pack 1 (SP1), you select a Windows Server 2012 operating system image and then start the Schedule Updates Wizard.
  • You select X64 in the System Architecture combo box on the Choose Updates page of the wizard.
In this scenario, no available software updates are listed for the Windows Server 2012 operating system image.

Note When you select an x64 version of a Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system image in this scenario, not all available software updates are listed.

This problem occurs even after you apply hotfix 2793237.

Cause

This behavior is by design. When you select X64 in the System Architecture combo box, only software updates that contain "x64" in the file name are listed.

Workaround

To work around this issue, select All in the System Architecture combo box.
