OL2002: The WinFax "No longer supported" Error Message Does Not Appear When You Upgrade to Outlook 2002

SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade from Microsoft Outlook 2000 in Internet Mail Only (IMO) mode with the Symantec Winfax Starter Edition installed and configured to Outlook 2002, the following error message may not appear:
Setup has detected that you have one or more of the following features installed:

- cc:Mail

- Microsoft Mail

- Net Folders

- Microsoft Fax

- WinFax Starter Edition (SE)

These features are no longer supported in Outlook. If you continue the upgrade, you will no longer be able to use them. Would you like to continue the upgrade to Outlook?

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

You should receive the unsupported services error message described in the "Symptoms" section of this article because Symantec Winfax Starter Edition is listed in the error message as one of the features that is no longer supported.
