When you attempt to log on to a Microsoft Windows 2000-based domain from a non-Windows 2000-based client computer, you may receive the following error message:

No Domain controller found or domain does not exist.

This behavior can occur when use of NetBIOS over TCP/IP is not enabled on the client computer.

To resolve this behavior, on the client computer, click Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP on the WINS tab in the TCP/IP Properties dialog box.
