MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft provides programming examples for illustration only, without warranty either expressed or implied. This article assumes that you are familiar with the programming language that is being demonstrated and with the tools that are used to create and to debug procedures. Microsoft support engineers can help explain the functionality of a particular procedure, but they will not modify these examples to provide added functionality or construct procedures to meet your specific requirements.
Unlike a Visio.Shape object, the Visio.Document object does not have a ShapeSheet. Instead, it has a DocumentSheet property, whose cells represent properties of the document.

To reference the cells in a Visio.Document object, the DocumentSheet property must be assigned to a Shape object.
Public Sub DemoDocumentSheet()

   Dim docSheetShape As Visio.Shape

   Set docSheetShape = ActiveDocument.DocumentSheet

   ' Change the value of the document's OutputFormat cell.
   ' Valid values are:
   ' 0   Printing
   ' 1   PowerPoint slide show
   ' 2 HTML or GIF output

   docSheetShape.Cells("OutputFormat") = 2

End Sub

To examine the cells in the DocumentSheet in Microsoft Visio, follow these steps:
  1. On the View menu, point to Window, and then click Drawing Explorer.
  2. In the Drawing Explorer, right-click on the drawing's name, and then click Show ShapeSheet.
