Heap damage can occur in Netdde.exe. When this occurs, there may be an access violation in RtlAllocateHeap and there may be an "eventvwr" message similar to the following message associated with this error:
Unable to add 3e5 to DDE msg queue. Conversation terminated.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because there is a race condition occurring in the NetDDE termination routine.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the
