Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry
SYMPTOMS
After you install Internet Explorer 5.01 Service Pack 2 (SP2), the Microsoft Outlook Express Pluggable UI or PlugUI components no longer work.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the Outlook Express (OE) version number changed from 5.50.4133.2400 to 5.50.4522.1200. Because there is no resource change, the PlugUI version remains 5.50.4133.2400. Therefore, localized resource files cannot be loaded because the version compare fails (MLLoadLibrary).
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the
