WD2002: Error Message When You Fax from WinFax

SYMPTOMS

When you try to fax from Word by selecting the Fax icon or WinFax from the File menu, the following error message may appear:
The WinFax printer driver does not appear to be installed. You must re-install WinFax.

CAUSE

The WinFax PRO 9 macros for Word do not work in Microsoft Word 2002.

WORKAROUND

Use the Print command and select WinFax as your printer by following these steps:
  1. In Microsoft Word, on the File menu, click Print.
  2. Select WinFax as your printer, and then click OK.
