This article describes how to map an msExchMailboxGuid attribute to a user in Active Directory Users and Computers.

  1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers.
  2. Click Users. Right-click Users, point to View, and then click Filter Options.
  3. In the Filter Options dialog box, click Create custom filter, and then click Customize.
  4. In the Find Custom Search dialog box, click Field, point to User, and then click Exchange Mailbox Store. In the Condition box, click Present. Click Add.
  5. On the Advanced tab, type the following LDAP query:
    (&(Objectclass=user)(msExchMailboxGuid=\79\9c\bf\ca\0d\34\9a\45\b2\a4\c1\b9\3f\d0\7c\39))
    						
    In this example, the msExchMailboxGuid number being searched for is 799cbfca0d349a45b2a4c1b93fd07c39. Replace the number with the msExchMailboxGuid number that you are looking for.
  6. Click OK twice.
  7. Open the Users folder. It will only show the user with the specific msExchMailboxGuid.
